Unfortunately, not every project succeeds, and sometimes teams just don't work well together.

A good project grows people while delivering results.

We know what it takes to build a high-performance team. This quest will help you become stronger leaders and practitioners, help you work better together, and lay the groundwork for a successful project.

Hi! I'm Melissa.

I'll be your coach, and guide on this quest.

I believe that we all want to better ourselves. We also want positive relationships at home, work and play.

As living beings, we are born with the potential to thrive and bring incredible value into our world.

As human beings, we are also imperfect, and so our life journey is full of continuous learning - striving to become a better parent, teammate, friend, manager, citizen, leader....

About me: I grew up on a farm in upstate NY, helping the family "hay it" during summers, while also working at the local ice cream/hot dog stand. I played team sports, and I went to college a year early - off on an adventure.

From small town farm gal to consulting at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), starting on a project with the Navy, to Big Blue for 18 years (a.k.a IBM), to Schneider Electric to my own consulting and coaching business...

That's the outside journey, the one everyone can see on LinkedIn.

But the inner journey, that's a different tale, and one that is ever-deepening and evolving. And it's rich and complex; embarrassing and ugly; happy and sad; beautiful, and inspiring.

I've been fortunate to have some wonderful managers, coaches, mentors, peers and friends who have accompanied and supported me on different legs of the journey, and I'm excited to play that role for you now.

About this Quest: This is both a personal, private journey with the support of a coach, and it is also shared (visible) journey - in that you will be interacting with close friends and colleagues (possibly from your family, community or organization ). You will be checking in with them to ask for input, and also to work out the kinks as you strive to become a better version of yourself!

You will be driving the bus, I'll be supporting you from the side, and help you to gain insights as you learn new things about yourself, and grow your positive impact at work, at home and wherever you engage with other "flawsome" human beings.

    Getting on Board

    Before jumping it, it's important to think about the journey ahead, and prepare yourself. What's the current state? What's important to think about? What possible? How can I bring my best to this project? What can I learn?

    Make it a "Bigger Game"

    Similar to a Big Hairy Audacious Goal (a.k.a. BHAG), it's about shaping the project purpose, mission and objectives is such a way that people WANT to do their best. Playing a Bigger Game challenges us to work together to achieve something important that we couldn't do alone.

    Building Your Gameplan

    What bold actions are required to make this"Bigger Game" real? It's time to start making this Bigger Game real.

  • Levels 04

    Assess (Just the Facts, Jack!)

    Now that the team is in action, and taking Bold Action, things are bound to deviate from plan. Maybe it's even time to change the plan. Be agile, and assess progress without pointing fingers. (This is easier said than done.)

  • Levels 05

    Appreciate & Calibrate

    A good assessment will result in new insights. How will you appreciate each other, learn from each other, and calibrate your game plan?

  • Levels 06

    Rinse and Repeat

    Assess, Appreciate, Calibrate. Spend time in every square. Notice the pace and rhythm. Notice the direction. What's needed next?

    Are we almost there yet?

    How are we doing? Are we sustaining ourselves? Each other? Are we still fully onboard? Are we still playing the right game, or is it time for the Bigger Game to "morph"?
